Pandora Mother’s Day 2018 and Disney Release

For UK col­lec­tors today we have a sur­prise bonus as Pan­do­ra released the Moth­er’s Day 2018 col­lec­tion, and the next Dis­ney col­lec­tion will also hit the shelves soon! For the unini­ti­at­ed, here’s the expla­na­tion — the UK cel­e­brates Moth­er’s Day ear­li­er than most oth­er coun­tries, and there­fore Pan­do­ra releas­es a small part of the col­lec­tion ear­li­er. We will receive the rest of the col­lec­tion in mid-April, at a time when the rest of the world will receive every­thing at once.

This col­lec­tion was orig­i­nal­ly sup­posed to be released on Thurs­day, but the release was unex­pect­ed­ly pushed back to today. Just to keep us alert!

To that end, we’ve final­ly received con­fir­ma­tion from Pan­do­ra as to when it will be pos­si­ble to pub­lish a pre­view of the Moth­er’s Day col­lec­tion, so expect lots of excit­ing posts next week! For those who don’t know, all of our pre­view release dates are pre-approved by Pan­do­ra and we fol­low a set sched­ule.

Release Pandora Mother’s Day 2018 in UK

To get start­ed, here is a kit Flour­ish­ing Hearts, which con­sists of a bracelet, pen­dant, ball and a pair of ear­rings. The set has a nice woody motif that Pan­do­ra has used quite a lot over the past few years, but we still real­ly like the way it plays with this theme. Small sil­ver details are very pleas­ing to the eye and look attrac­tive.

As usu­al, we would have pre­ferred if these cute bracelets were released with­out engrav­ing as well, as the fam­i­ly theme sug­gests that they may not be suit­able for every­one.

How­ev­er, our favorite item from the set is undoubt­ed­ly the pen­dant. It also has a match­ing charm.

Love Mum — a more tra­di­tion­al Moth­er’s Day charm from Pan­do­radec­o­rat­ed with pas­tel enam­el.

Sus­pen­sion Per­fect Mumlike a charm Love Mumuses a trick to not write either “mom”, us “mum”, strate­gi­cal­ly insert­ing a cute heart in the cen­ter of the let­ter.

The rest of the beads were show­cased in our ini­tial reviews of the Spring/Summer 2018 col­lec­tion.

Bal­loon & Ted­dy — a very cute charm ded­i­cat­ed to the theme of bal­loons. Sim­i­lar charms in this theme will go on sale in April along with the rest of the Moth­er’s Day jew­el­ry.

Sus­pen­sion Moth­er & Baby Bird is a com­plete­ly dif­fer­ent take on mother/child charms. We would have pre­ferred some kind of ham­mered oxi­dized sil­ver detail around the birds instead of pas­tel inlays.

Anoth­er one of the charms we like the most is this Per­fect Home. It makes us think about how great it would be to have a house in Ams­ter­dam in the same style!

Pink and Pan­do­ra Rose always go great togeth­er and we love the col­or com­bo in the pen­dant. Pat­tern of Love .

Moth­er Heart now also avail­able in Rose. For­tu­nate­ly, the only but­ton design in this set.

Sus­pen­sion Part of my Heart offers a two tone Pan­do­ra Rose design, a very well done job in our opin­ion. This bead will also be includ­ed in the gift set.

February launch of Pandora Disney in the UK

The sec­ond part of the Pan­do­ra launch is for Dis­ney. Last year, the Dis­ney line only appeared in the UK and Europe, and the launch col­lec­tion was lim­it­ed. Today’s release includes many ele­ments that we orig­i­nal­ly missed — Win­nie the Pooh, princess­es, Tin­ker Bell and many oth­ers!
