• high hard­ness — steel jew­el­ry is quite hard, hard­er than sil­ver and gold, does not deform, does not crum­ble and does not break;
• dam­age resis­tance — the sur­face is resis­tant to scratch­es, cracks and abra­sion;
• col­or sta­bil­i­ty — steel jew­el­ry has its own UV pro­tec­tion, which pre­vents col­or change caused by expo­sure to light;
• anti-cor­ro­sion prop­er­ties — the sur­face does not tar­nish, changes col­or, is resis­tant to oxi­da­tion and cor­ro­sion;

The only dis­ad­van­tage of sur­gi­cal steel is that it reacts unpre­dictably when it comes into con­tact with liq­uids and chem­i­cals, espe­cial­ly those con­tain­ing sul­fur and chlo­rine. For this rea­son, man­u­fac­tur­ers do not rec­om­mend doing sports in them, wash­ing dish­es, swim­ming in the bath­room, tak­ing SPA treat­ments, espe­cial­ly in the pool with ther­mal waters.
