Limited edition charms or everything I know about Pandora limited edition charms

Often when we read news about the release of new charms, you can come across an icon — lim­it­ed edi­tion charm. Let’s try to fig­ure it out, what does lim­it­ed pan­do­ra charm mean? As we know, Pan­do­ra col­lec­tions are released sev­er­al times a year (you can read more about this here). Each col­lec­tion is the­mat­i­cal­ly tied to a par­tic­u­lar sea­son and has its own sym­bol­ism. Autumn — mut­ed shades, ripe fruits and fall­en leaves. Win­ter — snowflakes, blue tones and a lot of sparkling stones, so sim­i­lar to ice floes. Spring — flow­er­ing, the awak­en­ing of nature, many flow­ers in del­i­cate shades. Sum­mer is a riot of col­ors, relax­ation, the sea and a great mood. That is, every­thing that we asso­ciate with a cer­tain time of the year. The charms of these col­lec­tions are pro­duced in an impres­sive edi­tion and almost all Pan­do­ra chain stores receive them (with rare excep­tions). Charms and bracelets are on sale not only for a cer­tain sea­son, but more, until the com­pa­ny decides to stop pro­duc­ing this type of prod­uct, in oth­er words, they send the charm to “retire­ment”. But, there is a cat­e­go­ry of charms that is pro­duced in a strict­ly defined cir­cu­la­tion (for some rea­son), and in a very lim­it­ed amount gets into stores., And some of them do not get into stores at all.

Ini­tial­ly, I would divide all such charms into two groups:

- out of pro­duc­tion — released in a lim­it­ed edi­tion ini­tial­ly. I won’t write about charms that are out of pro­duc­tion and there­fore dif­fi­cult to find, this is a top­ic for a sep­a­rate arti­cle. This time we will only ana­lyze orig­i­nal lim­it­ed edi­tion charms.

roy­al charms

The Pan­do­ra brand comes from Den­mark, where there is still a monar­chy and the pop­u­la­tion loves and reveres the roy­al fam­i­ly. Appar­ent­ly, there­fore, it was decid­ed to release charms asso­ci­at­ed with the loud­est and most pleas­ant events for all Danes.

Roy­al Dan­ish Church / Roy­al church — bicol­or charm with a crown and engrav­ing 14–5‑2004. The charm is ded­i­cat­ed to the wed­ding of the Crown Prince of Den­mark Fred­erik and Mary Don­ald­son. Cir­cu­la­tion data vary, dif­fer­ent sources give fig­ures from 1,000 to 3,500 copies.

Roy­al true love / Roy­al true love – bicol­or charm with enam­el and engrav­ing 24–5‑2008. The charm was released in hon­or of the mar­riage of the sec­ond Dan­ish prince Joachim to Marie Cav­a­lier.

Lat­er, charms ded­i­cat­ed to the most famous roy­al fam­i­ly in the world, the Eng­lish roy­al fam­i­ly, “joined” this series.

Roy­al wed­ding / Roy­al wed­ding — a charm ded­i­cat­ed to the “mar­riage of the cen­tu­ry” — the wed­ding of the Eng­lish Prince William and Cather­ine Mid­dle­ton, which took place in 2011. Heart shaped charm with blue faux spinel on one side and the first let­ters of the names on the oth­er. The col­or of the stone was not cho­sen by chance — the prince pro­posed to Kate with the famous ring of his moth­er, Princess Diana.

Roy­al baby / Roy­al baby — Charm, released in hon­or of the birth of the heir to the Eng­lish throne, Prince George. Came out in 2013. It could be bought for about $65. Offi­cial­ly sold in the UK, Cana­da and Aus­tralia.

Region­al charms

These are charms released only for cer­tain coun­tries in which (most­ly) they are sold. If you want one of these charms, you will have to look for friends all over the world)). Of the charms released quite a long time ago, I can name the fol­low­ing:

Blue prim­rose / blue prim­rose path — Charm released for Ger­many and lim­it­ed edi­tion. The same charm, but with white stones, can be found on sale today.

Christ — despite its name, this charm has noth­ing to do with reli­gion. Released for Ger­many only.

Cana­di­an maple leaf / Cana­di­an maple leaf – the charm was released in 2009 for Cana­da. Its release was timed to coin­cide with the Win­ter Olympics in Van­cou­ver.

Bag of hap­pi­ness / Hong Bao and Chi­nese drag­on / Drag­on – were released in 2012 specif­i­cal­ly for Chi­na and Asia to cel­e­brate the New Year, although they were seen on sale in oth­er coun­tries.

Chi­nese lantern and Yuan­bao (ingot) - were also released for Chi­na in hon­or of the new year 2014, and they could also be bought in some oth­er coun­tries.

Olympic medal / Olympic medal — a pen­dant released only for the UK in 2012 in hon­or of the Olympic Games, but did not stay on sale for long — Pan­do­ra received a com­plaint from the Olympic Com­mit­tee for incon­sis­tent use of the sym­bol of the Olympics or some­thing sim­i­lar. There­fore, the medal was quick­ly with­drawn from sale, but who­ev­er man­aged to buy it was lucky.

I love to trav­el / I love to trav­el — of course, this is not exact­ly a region­al charm, but due to its excep­tion­al sales points, I put it in this cat­e­go­ry. You can only buy it on board the air­craft. The list of air­lines that sell it is quite wide. Released in 2013.

Brazil / Brasil — a charm for Brazil in hon­or of the host­ing of the World Cup in 2014. Was on sale direct­ly in Brazil, in the USA and sev­er­al oth­er coun­tries.

Aus­tralia / Aus­tralia — a charm that made a lot of noise. It was released in 2013, but imme­di­ate­ly after the release it was with­drawn and a mes­sage appeared on the com­pa­ny’s Face­book that this was done due to its graph­i­cal inac­cu­ra­cy. They promised to cor­rect and release it soon, but so far it has not been released. Still, in a very small cir­cu­la­tion, he man­aged to get on sale and who­ev­er bought it is now over­joyed at such a rar­i­ty.

USA sports charms — This is a whole series of dif­fer­ent charms ded­i­cat­ed to the sport so beloved by Amer­i­cans — base­ball. There are even wood­en charms engraved with teams!

Base­ball bat and hel­met

Charm Vien­na Opera / Vien­na opera charm — released in hon­or of the 60th anniver­sary of the most famous ball in Europe. Pan­do­ra spon­sored the event in 2016 and released a com­mem­o­ra­tive charm to cel­e­brate the debu­tante ball. It went on sale only in Aus­tria (in one store) and then only for 1 week (Feb­ru­ary 1–8). The cost in the store is 49 euros. Cir­cu­la­tion — 3500 pcs.

Char­i­ty charms

Pan­do­ra is active­ly involved in var­i­ous fundrais­ing cam­paigns for char­i­ty. These include com­pa­nies sup­port­ing a healthy lifestyle and spon­sor­ship of orga­ni­za­tions that devel­op drugs and much more. Pan­do­ra con­nois­seurs call this one the rarest (and per­haps the first char­i­ta­ble) charm. frog. It was released in 2003 in sup­port of a chil­dren’s hos­pi­tal in the Dan­ish city of Ran­ders. Sell­ing charm only in one city!

Oth­er char­i­ty charms released by the com­pa­ny

Actions in sup­port of the fight against breast can­cer in 2013, 2014, 2015 in var­i­ous coun­tries. Since this prob­lem is now affect­ing an increas­ing num­ber of women around the world, Pan­do­ra is also doing its bit in the fight against this dis­ease. Charms and a pink leather bracelet came out under this action.

Charm club Pan­do­ra / Club charm

Issued annu­al­ly since 2014. At first, this charm was announced as some­thing exclu­sive, avail­able only to true fans of the brand (to buy this charm, you had to reg­is­ter online and get a spe­cial vouch­er), but then this idea was aban­doned and these charms are freely sold in stores, though for a lim­it­ed time. A spe­cial fea­ture of these charms is the engraved year of issue. Each of them is encrust­ed with a dia­mond. Sold in a spe­cial box.

Charm Black Fri­day / Black fri­day charm

Charm, which is released on the day of the start of big sales in the US, the so-called black Fri­day. The first Black Fri­day charm was released in 2011 and since then its release has become a kind of tra­di­tion. Since 2013, these charms have had a sin­gle theme — Christ­mas and New Year. There are many sem­i­nars and var­i­ous events for fans of the brand, pri­vate events and par­ties on board. All guests receive mem­o­rable gifts from Pan­do­ra. Charm for employ­ees

Staff charm - although the exact name of this charm does not have. It is also called pan­do­ra pride / pan­do­ra pride or pan­do­ra life / pan­do­ra life. This charm has nev­er been sold, it was giv­en away for free to com­pa­ny employ­ees in 2011. He is a myth­i­cal crea­ture with the body of a lion, the head of a giraffe, and the wings of a bum­ble­bee. These three ani­mals sym­bol­ize cer­tain qual­i­ties for Pan­do­ra: the lion — pride, the giraffe — pas­sion, excite­ment and the bum­ble­bee — hard work.

Exclu­sive charms

In this cat­e­go­ry, I put charms that have become almost a leg­end among Pan­do­ra col­lec­tors.

per­fume bot­tle / pand­pra per­fume bot­tle — PAN engraved charm on the bot­tle. This charm is a leg­end, and even the employ­ees of Pan­do­ra them­selves dis­agree about its exis­tence. Accord­ing to leg­end, the first charms came with PAN engrav­ing, and then it was changed to the let­ter O. There is a pho­to, but it is not known exact­ly how real it is.

But such a bot­tle of per­fume from Pan­do­ra def­i­nite­ly exists.

What to believe is up to you.

Holy Grail / Holy Grail — a very rare charm, it was quick­ly dis­con­tin­ued due to the char­ac­ter­is­tics of blue pearls — it quick­ly los­es its col­or. One of the most sought after charms for true Pan­do­ra col­lec­tors.
